expanding the Downtown Entertainment District to encompass the park At its Sept meeting the council discussed a text amendment that would expand the boundary to further activate the green space and Downtown Tucker according to a staff memo about the amendment The Downtown Tucker Entertainment District went into effect on Jan When the district was first created the Tucker Town Green was excluded from the boundary as the green space had not been designed or constructed the memo reported Now that the Town Green is almost complete staff is proposing to amend the boundary of the district to ditch near a little-known entrance to Henderson Park on Sept Bystanders have a description of the man whom they believe dumped the dogs and a photo of his van a white BMW sports utility conveyance A Tucker resident announced her husband was searching for their dog which had gotten loose around p m when he noticed a man and several women standing next to a carriage near the park s entrance The man Rocamora reported was pacing back and forth by the car near the park entrance at Donegal Court The man according to onlookers left the area around p m A neighbor soon after alerted Rocamora that a dead dog wearing a black harness and covered in a white blanket was located in a ditch near the trail entrance Upon further analysis two dogs wearing the same type harness were ascertained in the instruction and neighborhood connection according to a news release Bodae Vogt who serves on the District DeKalb County Animal Services Advisory Board revealed he was tasked with organizing the event shortly after being appointed to the board I grew up having rabbits and dogs and the first dog I ever adopted came from the DeKalb animal shelter Vogt commented He was on the euthanasia list and it
